Northern Samar town mayor dies of COVID-19


Civic chairman Manuel Aoyang of the Municipality of Palapag in Northern Samar kicked the bucket early Friday at 1:40 am because of complexities from COVID-19. 


As per the Philippine News Agency, he was 66 years of age. 


Aoyang's little girl, Angel, said that he was brought to Divine World Hospital in Tacloban City on Oct. 27 and went through swab test the next day, wherein results indicated that he was contaminated with the Covid. 


His oldest child, who went with him to the emergency clinic, additionally tried positive for COVID-19. In the interim, Aoyang's significant other tried negative for the infection. 


The civic chairman had ongoing kidney and hypertensive cardiovascular sicknesses. 


Aoyang's body was promptly gotten back to his old neighborhood and covered at the metropolitan graveyard.

As of Nov. 5, Eastern Visayas has recorded 7,147 COVID-19 cases, wherein 629 are dynamic cases. The area so far has 6,451 recuperations and 67 losses.
